PlaNet Finance is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the development of microfinance through the provision of technical assistance and consulting services to the microfinance and banking sector. PlaNet Finance develops and animates networks of MFIs, experts and local actors in order to support the development of men and women professional projects.
Background
Youth and entrepreneurship projects aim at: fostering the economic empowerment of youth in MENA region through the dissemination of tailored financial and non-financial services adapted to specificities of their economic profiles – enhancing the technical and organizational capacities of MFIs enabling them to offer sustainable loan and non-financial training services to economically marginalized youth.
About the Job:
PlaNet Finance is looking for a Youth Microfinance and Enterprise Specialist to support « youth and entrepreneurship » projects.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic of the young micro entrepreneurs needs in terms of financial services and training/coaching/mentoring;
- Conduct survey about job opportunities and sectors of activities with high potential for youth microenterprise in the targeted areas;
- Design innovative financial solutions with partner MFIs to foster access to finance for youth microenterprise;
- Design and deliver training curriculum to reinforce youth employability through business and soft skills;
- Assist the development of partnerships between MFIs and vocational centers trainers;
- Create synergies with other existing youth entrepreneurship initiatives in the MENA region;
- Ensure coordination of different activities with other experts and partner MFIs.
Qualifications:
- BA or Master in Economics, Finance, or related fields;
- Minimum of 5-year experience in conducting market research, training delivery, and/or providing technical assistance to small enterprise development;
- Fluency in English and Arabic – ability to work in both languages (both written and spoken);
- Strong organization and analytical skills;
- Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to operate in a cross-cultural working environment;
- Ability to work under high pressure;
- Ability to work in a team and be able to work with autonomy;
- Ability to travel within Egypt and the region (around 25% of the time).
