Grameen Foundation (GF) helps the world’s poorest, especially women, improve their lives and escape poverty by providing them with access to small loans, essential information, and viable business opportunities. It provides MFIs in poor communities with access to the capital they need to make micro-loans to those working to develop or expand a small business.
About the Job:
GF is looking for a Vice President – Information Services. S/he will be responsible for leading GF information services solution area. As a senior leader s/he will be responsible for one of GF’s three solution areas. S/he will oversee GF’s pioneering mobile agriculture and mobile health efforts.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Leader of all programmatic activities within the solution area. This includes guiding strategy and developing global services and related product suites for the information services solution area;
- As an integral part of GF’s solutions and regions leadership team, the VP will contribute to the development and implementation of strategies across solution areas and regions, in addition to managing the interface between the other solution area and regions;
- Work with the regional CEOs to ensure appropriate execution planning for solution pilots and trials, identify opportunities to scale solutions, and refine execution while planning for long term sustainability;
- Responsible for cultivating relationships with strategic partners and funding organizations at a global level, including overseeing the preparation of grant proposals and the negotiation and execution of strategic agreements;
- Responsible for developing, advocating, gaining approval, and implementing the annual operating plans and budgets. These plans are expected to include rigorous evaluation strategies based on measurable results;
- Represent GF publicly, maintaining relationships and speaking for the organization in public forum, to donors and investors, and to the media, particularly on matters relating to how GF is developing innovative solutions to address the most challenging poverty issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, Master’s or other advanced degree in one of the following or related disciplines (Business, Economics, Public Policy or International Development) is highly desired;
- At least 10 years of senior management experience in the related job functions with significant responsibility leading professional staff;
- Demonstrated record of achieving results in conceiving and running programs, projects or business units internationally;
- Experience interacting with people from multiple countries and cultures as a result of significant work, study, residency.
