Musoni’s use of the Kenyan M-PESA service, with its large number of agents and clients, has enabled it to offer an alternative to the traditional microfinance processes.
About the Job:
Musoni is looking for a Transformation Manager. S/he will support innovations and process re-engineering involving the remodeling of Musoni's rural expansion and branch rollout strategy, introduction of a field and branch efficiency program, adoption of social performance management principles, and a re-design of risk management framework. S/he will also assist in reappraisal of the deposit raising strategy geared towards achieving a DTM license from the Central Bank.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Managing the transition of change in the business. Working with the management team to embed changes within the business. Identifying what changes in processes, procedures, and practices are needed to achieve change and deliver the planned benefits;
- Driving overall project planning, scheduling, assessing, controlling, and reporting activities for projects, ensuring that comprehensive overall project plans are produced, project road-map with supporting detailed project plans;
- In a financially sustainable way, expand Musoni into new areas and increase institutional capacity (staff, infrastructure) with the aim of maximizing target outreach;
- Create a system to evaluate the success of any adjustments made within the organization and report findings;
- Take responsibility for application for deposit-taking license on behalf of Musoni DTM Limited.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of microfinance or commercial bank experience preferably having been involved in restructuring, rehabilitation or transformation;
- Extensive experience in project and Program management. Successful experience of managing multiple parties including senior managers and third parties on high profile;
- Knowledge and experience with workflow measurement and process re-engineering;
- Good working knowledge of budgetary control and resource allocation procedures.
