About the Job:
Triodos Bank is looking for a Senior Investment Officer – Financial Institutions. S/he will be responsible for managing and expanding a loan portfolio in the region.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Identification of equity investment opportunities;
- Initiate, maintain, and deepen contacts with (potential) clients, financial institutions for MSME finance, and other financial services that contribute to sustainable development in particular in the areas of sustainable food & agriculture and renewable energy;
- Initiate, maintain, and deepen contacts with other stakeholders such as network partners, technical assistance providers, and support agencies in order to develop new opportunities;
- Analyze financial statements, undertake risk assessments, and write investment proposals. Obtain support for finance proposals by presenting findings to the investment committee;
- Negotiate tariffs and conditions;
- Be a representative of Triodos Bank and its mission.
Qualifications:
- Academic degree, preferably Business Economics;
- Affinity with inclusive finance, sustainable food & agriculture and renewable energy;
- Significant banking or other relevant experience (minimum 4 years) with a focus on international finance, preferably as an account manager;
- Result-oriented, open, and entrepreneurial work attitude;
- Excellent communication and networking skills;
- Fluency in English;
- For Latin America, West Africa, and Central Asia, fluency in Spanish, French, and Russian, respectively;
- Affinity for legal aspects;
- Willingness to travel abroad on a regular basis;
- Must have or obtain a valid work permit for the European Union.
