Women’s World Banking (WWB) is an international network of 39 MFIs in 27 countries to bring financial services and information to low-income entrepreneurs. Its mission is to expand the economic assets, participation, and power of poor women as entrepreneurs and economic agents by opening their access to finance, knowledge, and markets. About the Job:
WWB is looking for a Strategy Evaluation Consultant to conduct a comprehensive, organizational assessment with a particular focus on WWB'€™s current progress towards the achievement of the 2011-2013 strategic plan. All relevant documentation will be made available at the outset of the consultancy.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assess the outputs and outcomes achieved to date under the 2011-2013 strategic plan as compared with overall strategic objectives;
- Provide recommendations for achieving objectives within the remaining strategy period;
- Evaluate WWB’s current business model in its contribution towards the organization’s sustainability and relevance;
- Provide recommendations on how the existing business model can be optimized;
- Evaluate the potential impact of the achievement of the objectives of the current strategic plan for WWB, its work with network members and its contribution to the industry;
- Provide recommendations to the organization for enhancing its impact in the next strategy period, 2014-2016.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical capabilities;
- Strong understanding of the microfinance industry and current and future trends;
- Experience in business model evaluation and strategy development;
- Experience in conducting evaluations and assessing development impacts;
- Strong writing and presentation skills.
