About the Organization:
The Aga Khan Agency for Microfinance (AKAM) is a member of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) which is a group of development agencies, institutions, and programs established by Aga Khan. The common goal of these agencies is to combat problems of social and economic development and to help the poor achieve a level of self-reliance sufficient to plan their own livelihoods.

Background
In 2005, AKAM established the First Microfinance Foundation Egypt to alleviate poverty and generate economic growth. As a locally-managed lending institution it aims to foster entrepreneurial activity, especially for women in underprivileged neighborhoods. Its operations are governed by principles of long-term sustainability and financial discipline. The Foundation extends credit mainly for income generating loans to micro and small enterprises, but also provides social loans for housing rehabilitation, education, health care and family emergencies.

About the Job:
The First Microfinance Foundation is looking for a Reporting Officer and MIS Support. S/he will be responsible for preparing reports and data lists for multi departments periodically and do help IT team to do IT operations in the head Office, and support and follow up braches work.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly reports for the management (quarterly & daily report – branch portfolio analysis report);
  • Prepare periodical and casual reports for operation department (portfolio, deposit etc.);
  • Prepare reports needed for audit team upon request;
  • Start of day and end of day, generating reports for accountant department, and make backups in the head office;
  • Do the consolidation operation in the head office;
  • Database knowledge includes database structure analysis, DB2 preferred;
  • Audit and check branches data periodically, and search for mistakes and inconsistency in the data;
  • Follow up the correction of data in branches and follow up BOS's (back office support) work;
  • Support branches with information needed, and help them if necessary in troubleshooting with the system and reports. Crystal reports is considered as an asset;
  • Banking core system knowledge (credit, portfolio management procedures & operation).

 

 

Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Business Administration (Accounting major is preferred) or any other related equivalent;
  • At least 4 years of experience in IT operations, preferably with international and/or private sector organizations;
  • Good command of spoken and written English;
  • Demonstrated computer and IT skills;
  • Strong software and hardware computing skills;
  • Ability to identify and define IT related problems and solve them in a due manner.
