About the Job:


Finca International is looking for a Regional Disaster Recovery Analyst. S/he will assist in coordinating and maintaining an organization-wide business continuity planning and recovery program, including developing recovery strategies and plans, performing business impact and risk assessments, conducting test exercises, and delivering a business continuity awareness program.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize (25%):

    • Assist in driving the completion of business impact and risk assessments across the region;
    • Assist in the design and planning of innovative, cost conscious and effective business and, IT contingencies based on defined business recovery requirements for recovery time objectives and recovery point objectives.
  • Acquire and implement (30%):

    • Coordinate and participate in the implementation of contingency strategies and document business continuity and recovery plans;
    • Participate and collaborate with IT teams in the development and documentation of technical failover and recovery procedures.
  • Deliver and support (30%):

    • Hands on support of DR and BC test exercises. Schedule, plan, coordinate and execute test exercises in order to validate BC and DR plans to identify areas for improvement, lead post mortems, and remediation efforts;
    • Collaborate with IT teams to develop corrective actions when tests do not meet RTO requirements;
    • Develop a maintenance procedure to ensure IT plans remain current through infrastructure and system changes.
  • Monitor and evaluate (15%):

    • Collaborate with BCP owners to review and maintain accuracy and currency of business impact assessment, risk assessments, crisis management plans, and BC plans;
    • Serve as a BCM champion by driving productive business relationships with business partners and IT partners to raise and maintain the visibility of the program.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in disaster recovery planning and IT service delivery and support;
  • Knowledge of microfinance banking products preferable, including familiarity with branch operations, close working experience with business stakeholders and able to understand and align requirements with IT solutions;
  • Strong project management skills, excellent written, and verbal communication skills;
  • In-depth knowledge of disaster recovery processes, business continuity planning, technical competence in system architecture, and recovery processes in a large multi-platform environment;
  • Able to understand relationship between business processes and supporting technology;
  • Should be well conversant with servers, network, security, storage, backup, and virtualization technology domains;
  • English speaker mandatory and must be bilingual in either Russian, French or Spanish;
  • Ability to use MS Project and MS productivity tools.
