Investours is a Harvard-born non-profit organization that provides travelers in developing countries with meaningful cross-cultural interactions that directly stimulate local economic growth. It brings travelers to meet local artisans who have applied for loans to grow their small business projects.
About the Job:
Investours is looking for a Program Director. S/he will be responsible for all logistics of Investours programing. S/he will report to the current country director and will be responsible for working closely with the global team on program strategy, expansion, and troubleshooting.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Marketing tours;
- Developing local and expat relationships with major tourism stakeholders;
- Maintaining organization’s relationships with partner MFIs;
- Planning and running the tours;
- Overseeing revenue stream and finances;
- Recruiting/overseeing interns.
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in development, microfinance, and community outreach;
- Language skills (Spanish or Swahili, respectively);
- Ability to take initiative, think critically, and communicate with a wide range of people.
