About the Job:
Grameen Foundation is looking for a PPI Analyst. S/he will support to the social performance management center (SPMC) manager with a specific responsibility of coordinating the development of the progress out of poverty index (PPI) globally.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Manage several projects (and project plans) simultaneously with various team members representing geographic regions around the world;
- Drive the data acquisition process for priority countries, which includes identifying national household expenditure surveys and obtaining the micro-level data to build the PPI;
- Facilitate the virtual user review process (a key part of the PPI development process) and capture key themes and issues identified during the review;
- Create PPI supporting documentation and tools;
- Prepare monthly status reports on the PPI product pipeline;
- Coordinate communication and maintain relationships with national statistic offices globally;
- Craft insightful analysis with the PPI data that can be easily understood and digested by non-analytical stakeholders that provide actionable recommendations for interpretation;
- Participate in client and project team meetings to explain and interpret analysis methodology and results;
- Support the SPMC team in drafting content on how PPI users can analyze and interpret the PPI poverty rate results in an intuitive manner;
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned and appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or majority of coursework in a quantitative discipline like statistics or related field;
- At least 2 or 3 years of related experience in conducting quantitative research or performing quantitative analysis;
- Experience with SPSS/Stata or similar reporting software;
- Strong writing and project management skills;
- Ability to gain working knowledge of GFUSA's policies, procedures, and practices;
- Ability to act as a representative of GFUSA to the public;
- Knowledge of international development is preferred;
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods is preferred;
- Influential while presenting data to executive management and clients;
- Ability to effectively communicate with other staff members and external parties.
