About the Organization:
LFS Financial Systems GmbH (LFS) is an advisory and management firm based in Berlin, Germany specializing in micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) finance. Its major clients include the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and the Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau (KfW), among others. In addition to the provision of advisory services to banks and non-banks in the MSME finance field, LFS has built a network of specialized small business banks for which it acts as the management company and holds significant ownership.
About the Job:
LFS is looking for an an MSME Specialist/Gender (Short Term). S/he will support LFS Advisory Services Division, which is currently compiling a team of specialized advisers in order to enable women entrepreneurs in the field of MSME in Armenia.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support in promoting women entrepreneurship in the country;
- Improve the entrepreneurial capacity of women and increase the capacity of the Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Center (SME DNC), project management unit of the German-Armenian Fund (PMU GAF);
- Help in strengthening the awareness and technical capacity of existing or potential women entrepreneurs and business support organizations to ensure that the former can benefit from the increased credit resources under the FI component.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years work experience in MSME finance (of which at least 3 years in commercial MSME lending operations in management positions as an expatriate advisor);
- Proven track record of successful development/management of commercial MSME lending operations, preferable in the gender context;
- Familiarity with the MSME/co-operative banking sector in Armenia or the CIS countries;
- Strong communicational skills;
- Fluency in English language;
- Experience in relationship management with shareholders, creditors, and authorities;
- Fluency in Armenian language.
