About the Organization:


Advans SA is a Luxembourg-based venture capital investment company that was created in 2005. Advans SA's mission is to build a network of financial institutions in developing and emerging countries offering loans, deposits and other standard financial services to MSMEs that have limited or no access to formal banking services.

About the Job:


Advans is looking for an MIS Support Officer for its support and maintenance unit. S/he will be responsible for providing technical support to clients within MFIs' network.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for software products;
  • Answer incoming customer support calls and resolving customer issues;
  • Documenting customer support issues and resolutions in knowledgebase;
  • Interpreting and understanding client’s requirements for new and existing functionalities;
  • Writing, performing, and documenting test scenarios.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in Information Technology/Management Information System;
  • More than 2 years of experience in the financial, banking or insurance industry;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good technical troubleshooting skills;
  • Knowledge on databases and SQL programming;
  • Experience in accounting and its software;
  • Fluency in English, French would be a plus.
