Oikocredit is a co-operative financial organization that finances and invests in MFIs, co-operatives, and small- to medium-sized enterprises in developing countries. It lends working capital to MFIs all over the world. In turn, they dispense life-changing loans to the poor and disadvantaged, with a special emphasis on rural areas and women.
About the Job:
Oikocredit is looking for a Manager Programs – Environment and Social Performance. S/he will be responsible for implementing Oikocredit’s environmental policy and managing the social performance information team.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- S/he will be project manager of the development and implementation of Oikocredit’s environmental policy;
- Coordinate Oikocredit’s initiatives in improving organization's accountability in social and environmental terms;
- Play an important role in the further development of the department and the collaboration with Oikocredit's regional and country offices regarding this subject.
Qualifications:
- Master in the field of Finance, Economics and/or Business;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental policy and/or information management;
- Excellent management and communications skills and a strong interest in the field of economics in developing countries;
- Knowledge of social performance in microfinance or other sectors is a plus;
- Thorough knowledge of English is essential, French and Spanish highly desired.
