A2F Consulting also manages a private equity fund providing equity capital and management services for the transformation of MFIs and bank downscaling in Africa.
About the Job:
A2F Consulting is looking for a Management Consultant. S/he will provide advisory services to public and private sector clients on strategy design, operational issues, financial analysis, training, etc.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support business development including the regular review of procurement notices by international development agencies and preparation of project / investment proposals;
- Team leadership and oversight of client engagements (from proposal writing to final report);
- Knowledge management and training;
- Perform strategic and financial analysis of potential investment targets for in-house private equity fund or on behalf of clients;
- Use management consulting skills to help manage investee institutions throughout all stages of transformation projects.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree, such as Masters, MBA, or PhD in Economics, Finance, Accounting, from an accredited university;
- Minimum of 5 years post-graduate work experience in a commercial bank or management consulting firm with strong focus on financial services;
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills;
- Client management and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication;
- Working knowledge of at least one foreign language (French would be a plus);
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in a multicultural environment;
- Experience of credit risk management, audit, commercial banking, and/or private equity fund management would be a plus.
