About the Organization:
myKRO is a non profit organization. Through an online community, it is involved in encouraging information flow that promotes increased awareness and knowledge of microfinance as a poverty-fighting tool.
About the Job:
myKRO is looking for Intern. S/he will work with the cofounders and will be responsible for determining the best way to engage with and organize MFIs around the globe.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive overviews of all “platforms” (Kiva, wokai, etc.);
- SEO and online marketing including link building, content marketing, etc.;
- Responsible for writing 2 to 3 posts per week about the microfinance industry;
- Participate in the project management of the improvement of the myKRO.org website;
- Create a myKRO facebook page.
Qualifications:
- Strong passion for microfinance and/or non-profits;
- Some relevant experience or be working on a degree in business, sociology, entrepreneurship, or non-profit management;
- Great organizational skills and an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
- The position will be an online position. Being in Seattle would be a plus, but is not essential;
- Able to devote between 10 to 20 hours a week.
