About the Job:
RI is looking for a Finance Manager – MSME Finance. S/he will be responsible for the financial management and oversight of RI'€™s microfinance programs in Iraq. This is a leadership position that will oversee the financial, risk, and internal audit management functions to prepare and transition the programs into regulated entities.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the executive director and RI’s global microfinance team to implement, improve, and maintain financial management policies, systems, structures, and procedures;
- Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the finance office through supervision/management of finance department staff;
- Conduct training sessions for Iraq microfinance staff;
- Plan and supervise work of the Iraq microfinance and admin staff including tracking and monitoring of outstanding loan portfolio and expenditures. Maintain an office purchasing, inventory, and requisition system;
- Ensure timely submission of monthly financial reports to RI’s global finance team;
- Ensure a regular monthly reconciliation of the loan portfolio account book balance to the portfolio balance in MIS;
- Work closely with Iraq microfinance staff to complete annual and monthly cash flow projections;
- Oversee the development of long-term financial projections and manage treasury management and financial planning efforts.
Qualifications:
- B.A. or master degree in accounting;
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a financial manager for microfinance programs with experience in transitioning between a non-profit and a regulated entity;
- US government funded grants financial and administrative management experience is a preference;
- Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently. Knowledge of QBs, SUN, and MIS (DELTA) software is required;
- Excellent command of English and Arabic is a must.
