It provides MFIs in poor communities with access to the capital they need to make microloans to those working to develop or expand a small business.
About the Job:
Grameen Foundation is looking for a Director of Institutional Relations. S/he will be responsible for strategic development, gift solicitation, and management of corporate, foundation and government relationships, and directing the institutional relations team on behalf of the organization.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute effective strategies to identify, cultivate and steward corporate, foundation, and government agency relationships;
- Proposal and report development, writing, and solicitation;
- Prospect research;
- Program planning and budgeting
- Nurturing organizational relationships;
- Directing and supervising the institutional relations team;
- Working with senior staff, key board members, and other executive level volunteers;
- Assisting in overall development on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years related experience;
- Demonstrated success in mobilizing and managing resources from corporations, foundations, and government sources;
- Knowledge and understanding of microcredit and technology for development;
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
