FINCA International is in the process of opening a Microfinance Bank in Nigeria.
About the Job:
FINCA International is currently looking for a Corporate, Foundations and PVOs Relations Manager to be based in Washington, DC. S/he is responsible for meeting the fundraising targets associated with the above constituencies. S/he designs and implements programs to steward FINCA’s relationship with its existing corporate, foundations and PVO donors. The Manager also prospects for and cultivates new donors.S/he serves as the central repository of FINCA’s institutional knowledge on these donors.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Complete departmental strategic and operational plans on-time and of high-quality;
- Meet or surpass Corporate, Foundation and PVO constituencies and Pro-Bono/In-Kind fundraising targets;
- Deliver all proposals to the specifications listed above;
- Maintain FINCA’s existing relationships within corporate, foundation and PVO constituencies’ donors;
- Identify new allies/donors and establish relationships with these firms that benefit FINCA.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree or equivalent work experience in marketing, economics, public policy, international development or related field;
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the sector of international finance and development;
- Ability to work proactively, take initiative and work independently;
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously ;
- Ability to network effectively;
- Ability to design and implement a strategic approach to fundraising and program development ;
- Knowledge of microfinance, international development and development institutions;
- Experience in proposal writing and fundraising, preferably with a Corporate constituency;
- Field experience a plus, but not required
- Fluency in English required. Spanish, French, and/or Russian fluency preferred.
