Oikocredit’s Washington, DC office is charged with attracting new investors, engaging with existing investors, and educating the public about global poverty alleviation and economic empowerment. The DC office does not disburse loans.
About the Job:
Oikocredit is seeking a Client Relations & Office Administration Consultant to support outreach efforts and investor relations for their base of over 6,000 social investors. This opportunity is ideal for a student with experience in customer relations and an interest in socially responsible investing, microfinance, data management and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and able to work independently wtih extraordinary attention to detail. This candidate will also be relied upon to collaborate and contribute to an ongoing creative process, provide feedback, and contribute to the development of new strategies and materials. The position is part time and requires work of 2 days or 16 hours per week. Work schedule may be negotiated based on the candidate’s academic schedule. The position is a paid consultancy.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Client relations:
- Manage customer response process to investors in Oikocredit’s fund which includes, answering phones, responding to investor questions, writing response letters, etc.;
- Create investor information packets;
- Process incoming investments and manage data quality;
- Manage and update prospects and contacts in CRM database;
- Update investor collateral as needed.
- Program administration & analysis:
- Maintain project budgets and analyze costs and ROI;
- Periodic sales analysis;
- Administrative functions such as photocopying, making travel arrangements, handling invoices, etc.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of customer relations experience;
- Superior attention to detail, especially for managing data quality and client follow-up;
- Prior experience in a sales/marketing organization strongly preferred;
- Proven ability to write for a public / client audience;
- Strong data management skills; experience with Salesforce preferred but not necessary;
- Experience in the investment sector useful;
- Ability to multi-task;
- Interest or experience in socially responsible investing a plus;
- Ability to contribute creatively to a small but dedicated team.
