About the Organization:
Community Economic Ventures, Inc. (CEVI) is an NGO in the Philippines. It a microfinance arm of World Vision Development Foundation and part of the global network of Vision Fund International. CEVI is organized to respond to the needs of microentrepreneurs engaged in trading, manufacturing, and service-type businesses through the provision of financial and technical assistance.
About the Job:
CEVI is looking for a Chief Finance Officer. S/he will be responsible for managing Manage VF MFI’s treasury.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Manage VF MFI’s treasury to ensure profitable operations and compliance with existing regulations;
- Supervise the accounting and liquidity management functions of the institution.
Qualifications:
- Masters/Degree in Business Administration will be of added value;
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar qualification with at least two years working experience post as CPA;
- Minimum of 5 years or more in the field of finance management and accounting;
- Overall understanding and deep insights into treasury management;
- Good knowledge of the local and VF regulatory requirements under which VF MFI operates;
- Determined personality with initiative, perseverance, and the ability to motivate and manage a team;
- Proficient in Microsoft and Sun systems with excellent excel spreadsheet skills;
- Experience of microfinance is preferred;
- Good knowledge in economic and financial topics;
- Be a good trainer, facilitator, mentor, and coach. Very good communication (presentation) skills.
