MTC International Development is seeking a Career Development Specialist who has experience working on international development projects that improve employability through services offered by Career Development Centers that serve training and academic institutions. The Career Development Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the design and/or delivery of related programs and training that focus on developing employability skills and employment placement that may include technical/vocational, professional and entrepreneurship support skills. Related experience should include developing career services, managing career development centers or employability programs.
Qualifications include:
- Advanced degree in organizational development, education, or related field.
- At least 5 – 10 years of experience engaging the private sector and educational institutions to collaborate on employment and employability programs; preferably including Morocco and the MENA region.
- Excellent knowledge of Morocco’s higher education and vocational education systems.
- Experience in human resource development, recruitment, and related career development concepts.
- Experience as a team member or consultant designing and implementing similar projects, workforce development projects, or entrepreneurship projects in a developing, or transitioning country. This should include experience in a variety of labor market sectors.
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate activities with multiple stakeholders including the government, education sector, businesses and individuals.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to work under pressure with limited guidance.
- Experience with donor-funded programs; Development banks and/or USAID experience preferred.
Fluency in English and French required; Arabic skills a plus.
