Accounting for International Development (AfID) offers accountants the opportunity to use their skills to make a genuine difference as volunteers and to gain invaluable hands-on overseas experience in the international development sector.

About the Job:
AfID is looking for Accountant for Microfinance Organizations. AfiD is arranging volunteer placements from 2 weeks to 6 months or more at these organizations.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Conduct a financial health assessment/internal audit;
• Coach and develop the accounting skills of local charity staff;
• Assisting with the preparation and analysis of financial plans and budgets;
• International donor relations: Source new local charity partners;
• Implement financial controls and procedures;
• Assist partners with funding proposals and assessments;
• Teach English, sports, and Microsoft Office skills.
