About the Job:
AfID is looking for Accountants for Microfinance Organizations. Volunteer assignments of 2 to 12 weeks are tailored to incumbents' needs and form part of an ongoing strategy to build the financial management capacity and long term sustainability of small community based charities across Africa, Asia and South America.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assessment/internal audit;
- Coaching and developing the accounting skills of local charity staff;
- Assisting with the preparation and analysis of financial plans and budgets;
- Maintain international donor relations;
- Source new local charity partners;
- Implementation of financial controls and procedures;
- Assisting partners with funding proposals and assessments;
- Teaching English, sports, and Microsoft Office skills.
Qualifications:
- CIMA, ACCA, CPA, CA etc.
