Media and Communications Officer – Maternity Cover Salary: £30,351 p.a.| 35 hrs p/w | Fixed Term: Maternity Cover (initially, for 7 months, with possibilities for extension). Location: London, NW5. The Rainforest Foundation UK (RFUK) supports indigenous peoples and traditional populations of the world's rainforest to secure and control the natural resources necessary for their long-term wellbeing and managing these resources in ways which do not harm their environment. Working in a small but dynamic Fundraising team, the Media and Communications Officer will build and promote a strong public profile for Rainforest Foundation UK through print, broadcast and online media; as well as writing, editing, coordinating other inputs to, and overseeing production of, various in-house communications targeted at a wide and diverse range of audiences; and will develop, oversee and contribute to RFUK’s presence and outreach through social media channels. The post would suit someone with a strong charity communications background with a proven track record, and with experience of working with mass media.
