Founded in October 1998, PlaNet Finance (PF) Group’s mission aims to alleviate poverty by contributing to the development of the microfinance sector. It supports MFIs by providing them with technical assistance services in terms of capacity building and financing to facilitate their growth. PF also works with the private sector (banks and financial institutions), international agencies and governments to facilitate the development of an efficient and mainstream microfinance sector.
About the Job:
PlaNet Finance is looking for an Agri Business and Agri Lending Project Coordinator. S/he will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the implementation of the activities of a 18 months project related to the development of microcredit and microinsurance for horticulture sector in Egypt.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the effective participation of the project partners in the project implementation (financial institutions, microfinance NGOs, banks, agricultural research center);
- Coordinate with PF Group entities contributing to the project (planet guarantee);
- Ensure respect of internal as well as donors’ procedures in project implementation;
- Participate to the draft of deliverables in collaboration with microfinance senior experts;
- Participate to financial and technical reporting for the donor;
- Monitor the project expenditures according to the budget and produce the financial reporting;
- Contribute to local communication actions linked to the project;
- Organize and participate to different project committees;
- Update reporting linked to activities.
Qualifications:
- Master (Economics, Finance, Political Sciences etc.);
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in microfinance and microenterprise;
- Candidates with experience in agri sector will be preferred;
- Minimum of 5 years in project coordination;
- Strong organization and analytical skills;
- Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, oral/presentation) for internal and external reporting;
- Ability to operate in a cross-cultural working environment;
- Ability to travel within Egypt and the region (around 25% of the time);
- Fluency in English and Arabic – ability to work in both languages (both written and spoken).
