About the Job:
Accion International is looking for a Training and Capacity Building (TCB) Intern. S/he will assist the TCB team in Boston and DC with coordination and administrative support of training and capacity building projects, as well as participate in the day-to-day activities of the unit.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Conduct a detailed analysis of the annual technical training needs survey for Accion global operations staff to determine capacity building priority topics;
- Identify and catalogue case studies, articles, and other resources on technical training topics;
- Create a comprehensive spreadsheet of “best practice” institutions for a variety of technical specialty areas;
- Update and maintain a comprehensive list of Accion staff members and their respective areas of expertise;
- Develop a toolkit of resources to support capacity building activities;
- Research industry-wide capacity building programs and donors who support such programs;
- Support review/editing of training materials, including Power Points, handouts, training certificates, etc.;
- Review and organize training data received at headquarters from field staff;
- Assist with packaging, organizing, and cataloguing training materials;
- Assist with administrative tasks and special projects for the team as needed;
- Translate documents from Spanish to English and English to Spanish as needed.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Economics, International Relations, or another related field;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to interact effectively and work with a multi-cultural team;
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks;
- Advanced MS Office skills especially Power Point and Excel;
- Fluency in English and advanced proficiency in Spanish required.
