About the Job:
FINCA International is looking for a Regional Savings and Retail Banking Services Manager (RSRBSM) and Deputy Regional Director – Eurasia. RSRBSM will report to the vice president and regional director, Eurasia and will serve as a member of the Eurasia hub team, providing strategic management and oversight for key regional initiatives, including subsidiary commercial bank transformations and corresponding development of banking services. The RSRBSM will also provide management and technical support for subsidiary banking services strategy development and operations more widely, in support of regional goals and objectives. S/he will support the regional director and hub team through specific responsibilities for aspects of risk management, human resources management, corporate governance, communications, and administration, especially as they relate to the regional roll out of banking services.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Bank transformation implementation (25%);
- Savings and retail banking services development (25%);
- Strategy, governance, and oversight (20%);
- Risk management, internal controls, compliance (15%);
- Human resources management (10%);
- Representation, communications, administration (5%).
Qualifications:
- MBA or Masters degree in a relevant field;
- Minimum 7 years of senior management experience in banking, preferably with microfinance banks, including substantial responsibility for non-credit products, services, and systems;
- Substantial experience in the development of strategic plans for commercial banks (preferably in the Eurasia region) and the planning and implementation of institutional building/development programs for banks;
- Fluent in English and Russian;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Proven organizational abilities and people management skills;
- Excellent communications skills, oral, and written;
- Strong business management and negotiating skills;
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the Eurasia region (at least 35% of time).
