Access to Finance is a program which aims to make sustainable improvements in the livelihoods of poor people in rural areas of Zambia by increasing the percentage of people financially included as well as assisting the financial sector in delivering a wider range of financial services to more people and businesses in rural Zambia.
About the Job:
DAI is looking for a M4P Expert – Access to Finance, a private sector development specialist who have an in-depth understanding of value chains development, making markets work for the poor (M4P) and market development.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Support and oversee the development of a comprehensive market analysis, using an M4P approach;
- Development of an effective monitoring and evaluation strategy;
- Ensure the participation and engagement of key stakeholders within the Zambian related sectors, state, and federal governments and extractive industries;
- Oversight and quality control in relation to program activities.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience within the private sector development;
- Minimum of 5 years experience using the M4P approach;
- Strong skill set in: market development, M4P, and value chains development;
- Ability to develop design and implementation approaches for donor programs in the above technical areas;
- Strong experience managing teams under donor funded programs (DFID, EC, etc.);
- Long-term working experience in African countries;
- Significant networking and relationship management skills, as well as project management expertise;
- Private sector development or value chain experience in Zambia and M4P/market development approach;
- Understanding of key approaches to monitoring and evaluation and the delivery of value for money.
