About the Job:
Ananya is looking for a Research and Capacity Building Officer. S/he will be based in Ahmadabad and will be responsible for supporting Ananya in building the capacities of its partner institutions and helping them to:
- Integrate the social performance management;
- Implement the core client protection principles into their business operations.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide trainings to MFI staff on SPM and client protection;
- Assist organizations in integrating and implementing SPM in their operations;
- Data collection, carry out FGDs with clients;
- Assist MFIs in implementing poverty measurement tool and carry out periodic follow-up visits;
- Data analysis of the poverty and other data of the MFIs.
Qualifications:
- Post Graduate degree in Social Science (preferably Sociology, Social Work, Political Science, Economics) from reputed university/institution;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in research;
- Skilled and well conversant with techniques and methods of conducting in depth interviews and extensive surveys;
- Knowledge of relevant statistical packages and sufficient exposure to intensive field-work;
- Ability to write data based analytical reports in English language;
- Willing to travel extensively;
- Experience/knowledge of social performance management and client protection principles as well as poverty measurement tools would be an added advantage.
