About the Organization:
Invest India Micro Pension Services Private Limited (IIMPS) was established in 2006. It is focused on encouraging and enabling low income informal sector workers and financially excluded individuals to save for their old age. IIMPS has developed a proprietary micro pension model and a scalable technology-led process that delivers a range of non-credit financial services to the poor.

About the Job:
IIMPS is looking for a Vice President and State Coordinator – Karnataka. S/he will be responsible for managing the interface with the Government of Karnataka and collaborate with new partners apart from assisting existing partners.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with existing outreach partners in educating and enrolling eligible workers for NPS-Lite;
  • Identify and collaborate with new, credible outreach partners in various districts for enrollment of their eligible clients or members for an integrated product including NPS-Lite, UTI-RBPF and LIC micro-insurance;
  • Provide relevant technical assistance and support to channel/outreach partners including training of their field staff and standard IEC tools for educating existing and new clients regarding financial and retirement saving concepts, product features, processes, and rights;
  • Coordinate with the relevant teams at the IIMPS HO related to micro-payment, IEC tools, client protection, and operations;
  • Ensure efficient approvals (as required) on eligibility of new clients with the Karnataka labor department and time-bound processing of applications and transactions with the central back-office data and applications processing center at Bangalore, with relevant institutional partners such as CRA, UTI and LIC;
  • Manage the micro-pension business model implementation at Karnataka in a financially viable and sustainable manner and as per a business plan mutually agreed to with the IIMPS head office.

 

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience of between 7 to 10 years in the microfinance sector, or the development sector or in an institutional marketing function at a bank or mutual fund or insurance or third-party distribution environment;
  • Ability to effectively interface with senior government officers of the Government of Karnataka;
  • Prior experience with independently setting up or managing state-level or regional teams in a development or finance sector will be preferred;
  • Good understanding of various payment solutions including mobile or card-based platforms and outreach through a BC model will be preferred.
