International institutional contract – children in detention and training of police officers on children in conflict with the law
The contracted expert is expected 1) to develop by-laws on the roles and responsibilities of correctional officers working with children in detention and programme and methodology for work with children deprived of liberty from admission to release based on international standards, including a plan for vocational training programmes and 2) to deliver training to police officers on how to work with children in conflict and contact with the law based on the Justice for Children Manual and develop and deliver a session on how to interview children in conflict with the law.

Qualifications:
▪ Advanced university degree in law or social sciences
▪ At least 7 years of relevant experience in the justice for children area
▪ Previous experience in developing policy documents and delivery of training;
▪ Excellent analytical and writing skills;
▪ Excellent communication skills;
▪ Previous work experience with internal organizations and UN agencies, especially in the region, is an asset.
Contract Duration: 6 months
