Regional Database Administrator – Eurasia

About the Job:
FINCA International is looking for a Regional Database Administrator (RDA) – Eurasia. S/he will report to the director of regional information technology – Eurasia. The primary role of the position is to ensure reliable continuous functioning of databases with performance conforming to the business applications requirements of FINCA's subsidiaries in Eurasia and GME.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize (10%);
- Acquire and implement (20%);
- Deliver and support (55%);
- Monitor and evaluate (15%).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in the technical field;
- Strong knowledge of Oracle databases;
- Knowledge of programming in SQL, PL/SQL;
- Knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems, admin level is a plus;
- Oracle DBA certification is preferred;
- Knowledge of backup software (Tivoli storage manager) is a plus;
- Knowledge of core banking systems is a plus;
- Minimum 4 years of experience in IT technical support;
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Oracle DBA;
- Experience working in a financial, microcredit or banking industry;
- Fluency in English and Russian, written and preferably verbal;
- Proven ability to work analytically while troubleshooting;
- Proven ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks;
- Ability to anticipate problems and prevent them;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Attention to detail and quality;
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks;
- Ability to work as a team member.
