National Director – Oikocredit Canada
About the Organization:
Oikocredit is a co-operative financial organization that finances and invests in MFIs, co-operatives, and small to medium sized enterprises in developing countries. It lends working capital to MFIs all over the world. In turn, they dispense life-changing loans to the poor and disadvantaged, with a special emphasis on rural areas and women.
About the Job:
Oikocredit is looking for a National Director – Oikocredit Canada. S/he will help set up a new national support office in Canada.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Represent Oikocredit in Canada;
- Develop and ensure implementation of a national marketing strategy;
- Attract investments within Canada by assisting support associations;
- Build and maintain investor relationships;
- Review investment products and opportunities;
- Assure collaboration with other partners (e.g. investment intermediaries).
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent through experience in Economics, Finance or Business administration;
- Minimum 5 years of management experience;
- Knowledge of and experience with organization development, in particular with volunteers organizations, and knowledge of or familiarity with microfinance, social investing, mission-related investing, and/or impact investing;
- Solid background in financial markets, (social) investment products and financial institutions Proven experience in successful marketing (web, PR, development of materials);
- Fluent in English;
- French working knowledge is an asset.
