HBS Accion Program Coordinator (Temporary)

About the Job:
Accion International is looking for an HBS Accion Program Coordinator (Temporary) to assist with the 2013 HBS-ACCION Program through the end of April, 2013.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Maintain all application details in an up-to-date database;
- Confirm receipt of applications, manage all program inquiries;
- Maintain list of accepted/rejected/waitlist participants;
- Communicate with participants about the status of their application;
- Keep track of confirmations and fill free spaces as necessary;
- Keep track of deposits, payments and the appropriate deadlines. Communicate to understand the standing of pending confirmations;
- Work with HBS team to ensure that visa letters are sent out in a timely fashion;
- Process and maintain scholarship applications;
- Work with the accounting department to generate and amend invoices;
- Manage communication with scholarship recipients;
- Maintain an up-to date status of final participants;
- Assemble a demographical database of all participants for program;
- Work with HBS team to finalize pre-program preparations.
Qualifications:
- Recent Graduate;
- Availability of 35 hours a week (although not all of that time will always be required);
- At least one year of experience with data and correspondence management is helpful;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Strong correspondence skills;
- Ability to work as a team member as well as independently;
- Excellent at multi-tasking and has a positive, can-do attitude;
- Availability from mid-December/early January – end April/early May.
